Speakers included: Francisco Monaldi, a fellow in Latin American Energy Policy at the Baker Institute for Public Policy, and David Mortlock, a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center. The discussion was moderated by Jason Marczak, director of the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center at the Atlantic Council.
On September 9, 2016, our panelists Chris Bakemeyer, deputy assistant secretary for Iran at the US Department of State; David Mortlock, nonresident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center; and Barbara Slavin, acting director of the Atlantic Council’s Future of Iran Initiative discussed the outlook for investment in Iran, the ongoing status of existing sanctions, and the broader context of US policy towards Iran.
